There is a huge campus-cum-exhibition center in New Delhi. Pragati Maidan, which literally means ‘Grounds of Progress’. It is the largest exhibition center in Delhi. The venue hosts around 70 national and international exhibitions and conferences each year.
It was built to celebrate 25 years of India’s independence, technological advancement and indigenous talent, is a vibrant symbol of the concept of ‘Make in India’ and is undoubtedly an iconic structure.
The New Delhi World Book Fair is the second oldest book fair in India which is held here. This annual event, to be held at Pragati Maidan from 14 – 27 November, provides a common platform for manufacturers, traders, exporters and importers.
A wide range of products and services, such as automobiles, textiles, household appliances, kitchen appliances, cosmetics, toys, body care and health products are on display during this fair.Basic Infromation About Pragati Maidan

This complex was designed by the layout architect Raj Rewal. The exhibition hall was inaugurated on 3 November 1972 by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Both the Pragati Maidan and the fair were aimed at commemorating 25 years of India’s independence.
Pragati Maidan was demolished in April 2017 under the orders of the Progressive Promotion Organization of India, which demolished the prestigious Hall of Nation, which wanted to develop Pragati Maidan as a state.

Pragati Maidan metro station is located on blue line of Delhi metro and you can reach here easily from metro route. It is very close to ITO office as well as Supreme Court of India.
