Raj Ghat

On the third day of Delhi tour plan, you can start your day at Raj Ghat. Raj Ghat is a memorable memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. On the occasion of Independence Day, tribute is paid to Mahatma Gandhi’s tomb at Raj Ghat. He was cremated here after his assassination in 1948. On October 2, the country’s big leaders, from the Prime Minister to the President, come here to pay tribute to Bapu. It is a popular pilgrimage center for local people, foreigners and VIPs. Equally, people come here to pay obeisance. Mahatma Gandhi’s tomb is made of black stone. A flame always burns with this samadhi.

  • The Nearest metro station for Raj Ghat is Indraprastha Metro Station. From where you can reach easily.

Red Fort

After Raj Ghat you can visit the Red Fort. The historically important Red Fort was built by Shah Jahan. It was named Red Fort because it was made of red colored sandstone. Every year on the occasion of Independence Day, the Prime Minister of India hoists the flag at the Red Fort and addresses the nation. The Red Fort is a famous tourist destination in India. Its beautiful architecture and its own historical importance attracts tourists visiting here.

After this one can go to Chandni Chowk for shopping. Chandni Chowk has developed into India’s largest wholesale market. It will be found in Indian food, clothes, spices etc. It is a good place for travelers. This beautiful market located right in front of the Red Fort in Old Delhi attracts tourists. The parathas of the Paratha street here are famous. Those who are fond of Dahi-bhalle, chaat-Pakodi, Jalebi, Faluda ice cream can come here and fulfill their hobbies.

Akshardham Temple

Akshardham means, worship and temple of the Supreme God is a classic example of Indian architecture, spirituality and art.There is an art gallery, a musical fountain, a huge screen in the special threatre which shows many educational films and several exhibitions held from time to time. You can see the light and music show at the musical fountain for a nominal admission fee. here is a souvenir shop in the temple complex that sells various religious photos and models of the temple and few of its most popular structures like the main temple and statues.
