National Museum

National Gallery Of Modern Art

There is an art gallery of Delhi located in the former Maharaja Palace in Jaipur, near Delhi’s India Gate. In which more than 14000 artworks including Thomas Daniel, Raja Ravi Verma, Rabindranath Tagore, Jaimini Roy, Amrita Shergill and famous artists have been exhibited.

  • Tips:
  • The National Gallery of Art is about 2–3 km from the National Museum. From there you can easily reach the National Gallery Art using rickshaws or e-rickshaws.
  • Enjoy the infamous “cold coffee” near NGMA’s canteen and DePaul.
  • NGMA has clean and modern facilities including wheelchair access.

Andhra Pradesh Bhavan

Rashtrapati Bhavan

Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official residence of the President of India. It is the residence of the President of the world’s largest democracy. The design of the Rashtrapati Bhavan has been designed by the British architect Edwin Lutyens.

Every year in the month of February – March, Mughal Gardens inside Rashtrapati Bhawan are open for the common people to see. The herbal garden inside the Rashtrapati Bhavan has medicinal uses for many Indian herbs. Before independence it was known as Viceroy’s House and was the largest residence in India.

  • Advance booking and confirmation is required to enter the residence. You can request entry via the official “President of India” website.

Lodhi Garden

Lodi Garden is spread over 90 acres. In which you will see many historical monuments including the tomb of Mohammad Shah, the tomb of Alexander Lodi, the name of Sheesh Dome and Bara Dome. Here people will be seen jogging near you and doing exercise in the park.

Connaught Place

After walking in Lodi Gardens, you can go for shopping at Connaught Place. A person who has never visited Connaught Place before, he has heard so much about this place that he cannot live without going to CP when he comes to Delhi. Connaught Place is the fifth most expensive market in the world and is at number four in the list of most expensive office destinations.

India Gate

India Gate is a war memorial located on the Rajpath of New Delhi. India Gate was built in memory of 9,000 Indian soldiers, who lost their lives during the First World War. Here Amar Jawan Jyoti burns for 24 hours. During nightfall, the nearby fountains make a beautiful display with colored lights. It is a popular picnic spot. One can see people walking in the lawn area and on the lawn on summer evenings.

  • You can reach India Gate from Connaught Place using a rickshaw. The distance from Connaught Place to India Gate is about 4 to 5 kilometers.
  • You can take a boat on the adjacent lagoon, there is greenery around here, you can walk here. And it is famous for picnic.
